Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug New issue 6115 by [hidden email]: On selecting "Choose new default browser" nothing appears http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=6115 Pharo1.4 Latest update: #14438 Trying to change default browser a la PBE FAQ 5 p318. On selecting "Choose new default browser" nothing appears. I was wanting to change to a browser where I could create a package. I'll go ahead and produce categories, classes, etc in System Browser. Is there another route to creating a package? _______________________________________________ Pharo-bugtracker mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.gforge.inria.fr/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pharo-bugtracker |
Comment #1 on issue 6115 by [hidden email]: On selecting "Choose new default browser" nothing appears http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=6115 do you use the image attached to the PBE site? the PBE1 book uses features of an older pharo release (still 1.4 but older). In the mean time a lot of things got refactored. _______________________________________________ Pharo-bugtracker mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.gforge.inria.fr/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pharo-bugtracker |

Comment #3 on issue 6115 by [hidden email]: On selecting "Choose new default browser" nothing appears http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=6115 I'm using the PBE 1.4 image downloaded on 19/6/12 - I haven't used the PBE book image at all because I couldn't find the VM for that. I'll continue to try and use the latest 1.4 image. What's an issue spree? I'm just reading the PBE book and using the latest image and reporting bugs. Don't you don't think bug reporting is useful? I have searched as best I can for duplicate errors, but how can anyone be certain of finding duplicates? Surely you can't expect new users to read through all the bug reports to be absolute certain of not creating a duplicate? In what way have my comments not been about pharo development? Some of my observations have come from reading PBE, but these relate entirely to the latest 1.4 development image because that's what I'm using! If you prefer I'll stop making bug reports altogether - maybe you are more interested in 2.0? If so, fair enough, I'll just meander round the bugs and keep quiet... I did join the mailing list and was reminded why I don't like mailing lists. Why not set up a forum like comp.lang.smalltalk? _______________________________________________ Pharo-bugtracker mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.gforge.inria.fr/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pharo-bugtracker |
