Restrict PreferencesHandler lookup to only files with an 'st' extension.

After integrating this, running tests now fails related to a failure in a  
class that actually is not in the 1.4 image.

Could this now try to load random .st files in the directory hierarchy?  
There is a directory scripts/ on the build workspace that should  of course  
not be loaded...

I don't think this can be related... It only does wildcard matching in the  
preference folders. The only file in the image directory that will be  
loaded is startup.st (the same as before)
