New issue 7295 by
[hidden email]: [ENH]: Critic Browser - Improve
Resetting
http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=7295Pharo2.0a
Latest update: #20480
First (and slightly OT) I was surprised that the second time I ran the
browser (from the World Menu), it started running the settings from the
first run without any prompt. That doesn't seem right, potentially running
a very time-consuming operation that I may not want.
Back to business... It took me a while to figure out how to reset the
browser. I finally found that if I write clicked in the rules list, there
was a "Reset Working Package Set" option, which is still not clear that it
brings you back to the initial wizard, and seems to do nothing until you
close and relaunch; it seems like it should automatically bring up the
wizard.
So, my suggestion:
1. either
a. prompt for reset when opening if already set up
b. or don't automatically run if already set up
2. Add a "Reset" button prominently
3. Reword "Reset Working Package Set" to something like "New Query"
4. Automatically bring up wizard on Reset
