You don't really need an extra shortcut. If the "Method Source" tab is
selected then you can "Accept" anything typed into the workspace as a
method. So you can do
type in method source
Ctrl-S (to accept the text)
Ctrl-A (select all the text)
[optional] Ctrl-X (clear the workspace)
type in method source
&etc
