Am I the first to get this working?
One of the reasons I wanted to get it working is I thought there might
be more support for Store and ODBC than there is for Store and Sybase,
but I just noticed that may not be the case.
Anyway, it turns out to get MySQL working with VW on Linux you need to
build your own My ODBC connector. There's a one-line change required
inside driver/dll.c <

Because so many other things changed on my system I'm unsure if building
my own 5.0.24 had anything to do with it, but I can testify that it
alone had no benefit. Without a new ODBC library MySQL's ODBC keeps
complaining of errors (described in bug #11892

Additionally (there's always something else), it should be noted that
VW's ODBC on Linux requires some patching, and the patching is different
in 7.4 than it is 7.3 and earlier releases.
