Load tiff images in WinXP possible?

I recently had the need to look into some tiff images. To my amazement,
WinXP is capable displaying them, so apparently there is something in the
system that supports tiff. I tried to load them in dolphin (e.g. with
OLEPicture) but this seems not to work. Is there another way to access this
new WinXP functionality?
