Bought and downloaded 6.0 tonight and during my first play with it
I've found a problem which occurs on both of my PCs. Just open the base image and double click on the 'View Browser' icon from the control window. This brings up the view browser window which unfortunately just displays a flickering 'View Name' title bar which moves up and down madly. Nothing else is displayed in the window. It starts Dolphin eating up 100% CPU You can select menu items e.g. View..Browse Classes. and you can maximize the window. If you maximize it the View Name title bar stops flickering but the arrange icons toolbar item at the far side flickers instead. If you drag another window in front of the View Browser it attempts to draw the resource icons and all the panels but fails to do so properly. Basically this window is rather screwed up :(. Hopefully a fix will arrive very soon. Regards The Brave Sir Robin. |

You can download it from: http://object-arts.com/lib/update/Dolphin/6.0/Professional/Dolphin.exe.manifest The file needs to be saved into the Dolphin installation directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\Object Arts\Dolphin Smalltalk 6.0). Another effect of this file being missing is that the icons in the system folder and toolbars will be surrounded by black shadows and look very poor. Users on the beta programme should not experience this problem, as they will have the file from a previous installation. We'll sort out a live update for this tomorrow and/or get the download fixed ASAP. Regards Blair |

I have the same problem :( It doesn't happen in all windows (i.e. not
when opening a new workspace or in the system browser), but it happens in the Package Browser and the View Browser. Regarding the Package Browser, I found when I click on a menu item, the window content becomes visible, but the rightmost icon in the toolbar still flickers. Also if I then click on an item in the package tree, the item just disappears. Folks,
> We'll sort out a live update for this tomorrow and/or get the > download fixed ASAP. I have uploaded a new installer (2005.6.0.5.1) that fixes this problem. You can get this from your My Dolphin page. If you don't want to download the whole thing again for the sake of a single file you can take a copy of Dolphin.exe.manifest from \Program Files\Common Files\Object Arts and copy it to: \Program Files\Object Arts\Dolphin Smalltalk 6.0.
