That makes last modified annoying; one wants to be able to bring the most recently modified/added files to the to of the list, but sorting by last modified puts them at the end. Rather than change the sense of the order to first modified, the nice thing is to be able to toggle the sense of the sort to be ascending or descending, just by clicking the sort button again.
