indicates the culprit might be Case 22305 Backport to Pharo6: "Leave Variable Undeclared"
or Cas [EDIT - Somehow I confused myself and hadn't loaded 22298]

The problem can be induced in build 60541 by loading Slic e 22298 " Backport of the fix of Infinite Debugger
but loading them both on top of build 60451 did not reproduce the problem. "
