Messy font on VW7.7 -- WinXP ???

Messy font on VW7.7 -- WinXP ???

I just installed VW7.7 and the default fonts are broken, uneven and very
difficult to read. I assume there is something to do to fix this?? Fine for me here. The only problem is the underline for the quick access
characters on menu items is one pixel too low. Do you mean the menu bar font (#system), and/or the font used in the Transcript (#default)? Check which font is actually being used for those. I just installed it and opened "visual.im" -- so Transacript and Workspace.

Resolved -- in "Appearence" - "Effects ..." I had turned off
Use the following method to smooth edges of screen font [ClearType] I don't know why it was off, but it was not off on my office PC, so I turned it ON at home -- problem solved.
