I am planning on doing an informal Metacello Q&A session at Camp Smalltalk this year. Johan Fabry suggested a Metacello BOF during the main conference for folks who weren't able to attend Camp Smalltalk. I've also submitted a talk proposal on Metacello.
Anyway, it doesn't seem that there are usually a lot of BOFs at ESUG, nor the facilities for a BOF, so I was wondering what options there might be? ... I could make room for open Q&A at the end of my talk, but I would prefer a much more informal setting for the Q&A - something with a white board ... What do you folks think. Hi Dale,
First, I am really interested in a Metacello update since it has changed a lot. Especially the tools that makes a "simple" programmer life easy. BTW, what means BOF?
Big One Fiesta ;-) See you @ Gent,

Luc,
Yes, I'm excited about the scripting api and it's potential inclusion in the base images for Pharo and Squeak. Git and github are also very interesting. I'm thinking the Q&A session or BOF format is more suited to helping folks understand how to build their own configurations and help them solve particular problems ... face to face meetings are always more efficient at that kind of thing. BOF - "Birds of a Feather" slang for a non-conference meetup (usually evenings after conference) for folks interested in a particular topic. At a minimum I'll plan on doing something at Camp Smalltalk...
