Mewa attributes

Patty Gadegast
Hi again,

Is there a kind of Mewa attribute for a selction list? If yes, where do
I find it? Even Number Attributes or things like that do not exist
(maybe I should load another package, I have loaded
Mewa.Seaside2.5-al.24, which is the current version at squeakmap).

Did anybody tell you that the development of Mewa has been
discontinued? *hint* *hint*

For the Mewa-Version in SqueakSource I added an integer attribute, see

I for one did not know - seemed like a nice concept to me. Is there a
successor?

We're still using Mewa in two or three productive apps but I've not
done any further development for about two years.

Nowadays, we are rather using Lukas'  Magritte (see www.lukas-
renggli.ch/smalltalk/magritte), which offers some more features and
flexibility.

Cheers,
Adrian

Maybe it would be a good idea to remove it from
http://www.seaside.st/Community/Extensions/
or at least mark it as discontinued

I added a comment to the page. And also added some more frameworks.
Any other ideas to put there?

What always is nice are applications that use it:

DabbleDB
Gjallar (is there a demo installation somewhere?)
http://www.loop.aero/
SqueakSource
Seaside Hosting
some Pier Installation
the golfing application on visualworks that uses seaside
prolife offer application?

Companies using it would also be nice if we actually knew who uses it
;) Maybe Michel could help us but I guess this is confidential.

On http://www.seaside.st/Download/
Since we actually don't publish on SqueakMap anymore it would probably
be good to remove this. And add a note about Gemstone ;) At least
change it possible ;)

I have read on Ians blog that Avis Continuation tests are green on Ambrai:
http://www.ambrai.com/smalltalk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20
So we could change it from unknown to possible

what others think of seaside:
https://www.lostlake.org/blog/index.php?/archives/7-Rails-and-Seaside-Two-new,-great-web-frameworks.html

http://blog.saush.com/
has a nice newbie guide to Squeak and Seaside

And a lot of stuff that requires a lot of work like porting to Pier,
news, better documentation, inclusion of SeasideFAQ, persistence faq,
... whatever else always pops up.

I agree, it would be nice to have a list of projects, especially
industrial ones, and maybe even with a short description. I didn't
add this list yet.

Which other projects are out there that we can put on this list?

Re: Mewa attributes

garduino
Hi:

I've two, by now using Seaside/Mewa and (the last one) ShoreComponents.

They are:

* Promoter (http://www.arsol.biz/promoter/indexe.html). Is a search
engines adder.

* A1-Business CMS (http://www.arsol.biz/a1/ and some screenshots at:
http://www.arsol.biz/a1/panta.html). Is a sort of CMS focused in
different business areas, the main (by now) is real estate. The site
is only in Spanish.

Cheers.
