Missing *.cat files during XD icx generation?

Hermann Ottens
Hi group,

during icx generation in a XD image i get the following error messages:

NLS Error 1003 getting locale compatible with ('german' 'germany' 'ibm-819') from file 'ipc.cat': Could not open specified file.
NLS Error 1003 getting locale compatible with ('german' 'germany' 'ibm-819') from file 'pixa.cat': Could not open specified file.
NLS Error unable to make catalog 'ipc' resident - Pool has unknown locale possibly due to an earlier failed localization.
NLS Error unable to make catalog 'pixa' resident - Pool has unknown locale possibly due to an earlier failed localization.

We are now using VAST 8.5.2 and there are no files named ipc.cat or pixa.cat anywhere under the VAST 8.5.2 installation directory.
I also checked VAST 7.5 and both files are present in <VAST75>\nls.

Of course i could copy the older *.cat-files to <VAST852>\nls but that is not exactly what i want.
Am i using an old deprecated feature?

Cheers,
Hermann

Your XD image is referring to features that are not in Windows, only in UNIX.  With this release of VA Smalltalk, stopped putting UNIX *.cat files into the Windows installation.  You can either copy the files from your older installation, or bring them over from your UNIX environment in order to get rid of the warnings.
