Missing functionality, bug or feature?

Why is there no ability to delete the top-element in the View Composer?
I miss this because of my usualy workflow. First Create a subclass, then
"right click", "View", "New", "delete" suggestion, paste my "best fitting"
view.
Now it seems I have to paste each controller seperatly.
