Modulecounts (and Smalltalkhub)

Esteban A. Maringolo
http://modulecounts.com/ shows npm (node.js package manager) surpassed
Java MavenCentral count of modules, and it is the fastest growing
package manager.

Though Pharo won't be up there anytime soon, the "1640 repositories"
reported by SmalltalkHub's explore page are more than the PHP Pear
count. And even when SH is not a module repository, it has a minimum
volume worth mentioning there.

Is there a public API of SmalltalkHub from where to pull this historic
information?

Yeah, having correct definitions is important to make comparisons.
Anyway, an StHub repository often contains multiple packages.
Quantity does not equal quality either.

But it would be a good idea to advertise some statistics concerning StHub.

Yeap I was about to reply the same thing that all my personal projects in Smalltalkhub are from early W.I.P to garbage. Sad but true.

Do you believe everything in npm is at the level of express.js,
socket.io, grunt or similar stuff?

Their numbers are orders of magnitude bigger, but there is a lot of
crap there too.

I have data, and I am Yuriy (you can call me Uko, it’s easier to memorise ;) ).

Cheers.
