MooTools package for seaside?

Alexandre Paes
Hi,

I really enjoy using scriptaculous but i am tempted to have a look at
MooTools because many developers i know say it's lighter than
scriptaculous. So i was wondering, is there some MooTools package for
seaside as well?

Thanks,

Alex

Not that I know of but I'd certainly be welcomed.

Hello Alexandre. Me and a colleague had ported, partially, MooTools to Squeak. The port is nothing else that a mirrored copy of the Scriptaculous/Prototype work done by Lukas Renngli, with some adaptations. We had some trouble figuring out how things works (tests are ok, but more documentation would not hurt by the way), that's the reason we hadn't tried to finnish the port although it worked for what we needed, however, if you can wait we could try to publish a release on SqueakSource coming soon.
À bientôt!

Hernán

Hi Hernán,

That would really rock, i can wait for it as i'm still in the middle of
writting my first 'real' application with seaside, it would rock to be
able to pick between scriptaculous and mootools for it. I wouldn't mind
helping out either but i should warn that my smalltalk code is still not
very good since professionaly i still work with PHP and smalltalk is
more of a hobby for me (unfortunately).

Cheers,

Alex
