Hi all,
a quick poll: which selection of metrics do you find the most useful when using a system complexity type visualisation, and what are your goals when using the visualisation? AspectMaps has this view as a part, but I am reluctant to include all the options that are in the customisable system complexity view, because this is a loooooooooot. A subset would be less intimidating to the user ... -- Johan Fabry [hidden email] - http://dcc.uchile.cl/~jfabry PLEIAD Lab - Computer Science Department (DCC) - University of Chile _______________________________________________ Moose-dev mailing list [hidden email] https://www.iam.unibe.ch/mailman/listinfo/moose-dev |
I use the have the traditional ones:
width = #numberOfAttributes height = #numberOfMethods color = #numberOfLinesOfCode Regarding my goals, it really depends on the situation. Exactly.

Yes, well that's kind of obvious, no? ;-) That's why I asked in the plural. Anyways, I think that in AspectMaps I will just keep the above metrics plus weightedMethodCount because it sounds cool :-P, and the amount of join point shadows. FYI: a pic of the current state of AspectMaps. I dont have time this week to make new screenshots and movies, and from next week I am away from the computer until the end of feb, so I will do those things when I am back ... -- Johan Fabry [hidden email] - http://dcc.uchile.cl/~jfabry PLEIAD Lab - Computer Science Department (DCC) - University of Chile _______________________________________________ Moose-dev mailing list [hidden email] https://www.iam.unibe.ch/mailman/listinfo/moose-dev AM.tiff (168K) Download Attachment |
It looks really really cool! I am glad to see what people can do with
Moose/Glamour/Mondrian. This is an excellent illustration!
