MouseOvers?

I may be missing something obvious (wouldn't be the first time), but if
I have an image on a window and I want that image widget to deliver a
message to the container when the mouse enters that image widget's
space, how do I do that? I looked for a symbol of #onMouseOver or
#onMouseEntered or something that I could use in a when:send:to: to the
image but didn't see anything that looked promising. What am I missing?

IIRC, Dolphin does not trigger mouse move events to keep processing at a low
roar.  You can however hook into mouse move messages and trigger an event,
perhaps only on first entering a given rectangle.  To make that work, you
might have to capture the mouse though.  You might find it easier to start
with triggering on any mouse move over the interesting spots, and get more
creative if performance is a problem.

As Bill suggests the #mouseMoved event is probably what you want. The
attached package shows one, IMHO the least intrusive, way of using it in the
context you describe, there are other ways.

NB. I've subclasses ImagePresenter with MyImagePresenter just to add the
triggering mechanism. You could have added the method directly to
ImagePresenter to get the same effect, I just prefer subclassing in this
context.

Thanks Ian and Bill, that was exactly what I needed. I played around
with mouseMoved, but I didn't see how to let the container know which
widget had the mouse moved over it. Now I see. Of course it was 0230 in
the morning when I was working on it... 8-)
