Moving code: SIF, something else?

Schwab,Wilhelm K
Hello all,

Any preferences for moving code between dialects?  I have a copy of SIF in case anyone wants it.

Bill

Monticello. It is natively supported on Squeak, Pharo, GemStone and VisualWorks.

Interesting, but that does not (so far) appear to help with code coming from Dolphin.

PackageInfo-Exporters in the Seaside repository has exporters for
about any dialect, including VAST and Dolphin.

Hi!

IIRC I used Rosetta (by Joseph Pelrine) a few years back to move code
from Dolphin to Squeak. Even made a small fix to handle "!" inside comments.

regards, Göran

Unless I am missing something, it's not a solution: I need to export _from_ Dolphin, not to it.

So there *are* tools to help with these imports? What about helping
flag invocations of initialize and more subtle differences in base
classes?

Cam,

The tools exist, but some/most are orphaned at this point, or at least give that appearance.
