ODBC - connection problem

Hi all,

For one of our projects (VW 7.7.0) we are integrating with an external database via ODBC.

We can connect to the external database, if the primary database is active.

The problem starts when the external database fails over from the primary (10.78.111.101) to the backup (10.78.111.102).

Our application is no longer able to connect.

The ODBC source is configured to have access to the backup database (see below).

I was under the impression that the fail over should be transparent for our application.

Does anyone have experience with this? Or have pointers in how to solve this.

• Data source: System DNS
• Driver: SQL Native Client
• Main, backup addresses: 10.78.111.101, 10.78.111.102
