Sorry to see that none of the rest of the Swazoo crew made it OOPSLA this
year. the conference was *GREAT*. attendance was down by half because of
the economy and terrorism worries--so only the "hard core" people came and
that gave the whole week a very intimate feeling.
and, for the first time in years, it felt like the Smalltalkers weren't the
nameless minority.
it was the best OOPSLA i've been to of the six i've attended since '93. i
had an absolute blast.
