Patch Level 1 (Beta) Available

Andy Bower-3
Folks,

We have released a beta version of Patch Level 1 (for Dolphin X6) to
address a number of the bugs/enhancements that have been thrown up over
the last few weeks. This can be installed into your current image using
the Live Update icon from the system folder.

With this patch level, we have chosen to introduce the idea of a "beta"
patch which indicates that the update is not yet complete and may be
further enhanced in the near future before becoming finalised. The only
difference between a beta patch and a full one is that the former
doesn't actually mark your image as bumped up to a new level. This
means that if you run Live Update again after having installed the beta
Patch Level 1 you will still see it as being available for
re-installation. This will allow you to install further updates that
are added to the patch over the next few days until it becomes
finalised.

You can read about the list of changes that are currently in the patch
by clicking the Help button in Live Update with the patch selected.
Alternatively, you can follow this link:

http://www.object-arts.com/Lib/Update/Dolphin/6.0/Professional/PL1.htm

As with any Live Update, we would recommend that you create a backup of
your image before installing a new patch.

Best regards,

Anyone else notice that this link seems to just wait forever? It could
be my ADSL connection, but I also find that same getting past the
initial OA logo on the website...

There are technical problems with the OA website at present.
I'll post here when they are resolved.
