Pay attention recent changes in the source manager can lead to loss of code

I experienced that and lost my changes.

And possibly worse, in my image, #50109, recovering lost changes is broken (fails to file in chunks) - maybe that is already fixed.

I could not reproduce it and we are checking with martin because he
disabled his changes.
So may be I was editing the same image twice but I doubt.
