Could someone please point me to the non-Smalltalk source code for Pharo --I searched the website but couldn't find anything?

What do you mean by non-Smalltalk "source code" for Pharo? :=)

Pharo is 100% Smalltalk, you have to take a look at the VM's source code which is compiled and platform specific. There you will find the answers, like i.e. primitive tables, etc.
