Pier for Seaside 3.0 plans

... are there any?

As there are plans of porting (recent) Pier to VW, maybe it's better to port a newer version (if it exist in any form ofcourse)?

Julian is currently working on integrating Pier with Seaside 3.0.

It's in Cincom, AFAIK. I'm not yet sure it's ok to discuss details,
and anyway I don't know much...
