Polycephaly and Invalid BOSS file

Bob Nemec
I'm trying to use Polycephaly with our large case tool / fat client VW 7.7 image.  After loading Polycephaly and tests into the image, saving the image, and then runnig the tests, I get the 'Invalid BOSS file' exception.  We have a lot of stuff loaded into VW including our own overrides.  Evidently something is not playing nice with Polycephaly.

Is there a way to check if the image is valid for running Polycephaly?

My only option seems to be to start with a vanilla image, load Polycephaly and then load one package at a time until the tests fail.  I'd prefer something less experimental.

Thanks for any help,
Bob Nemec

It's probably something printing to Stdout or reading from Stdin. Poly communicates via the stdin/stdout pipes.

Re: Polycephaly and Invalid BOSS file

Frederic
Beware,
as a matter of fact, the package Polycephaly provided with VW7.7.1 (26 july 2010) cannot validate the SUnit tests it provides ("Invalid Boss File Exception").

As provided, the package seems not usable or may be dependent of additional classes/packages.

You need to save the image with Polycephaly loaded before it will work correctly.
