Quad Core Xeon

Richard Eng
I¹m looking at hardware to host my Seaside app. I was just wondering if it¹s
worth my while to get a Quad Core Xeon. Or will a Dual Core be more than
sufficient?

The question comes down to whether Seaside would take advantage of the extra
cores...

(If I recall correctly, Seaside/Squeak doesn't use multithreading nor
process forking [in Linux].)

Thanks,
Richard

RE: Quad Core Xeon

Boris Popov, DeepCove Labs (SNN)
It certainly does not, but it's still a good idea to have as many cores as possible for that time when you decide to run multiple images at the same time and load balance between them.

Cheers,

-Boris
