hi all..
I've moved all of my development stuff over to a new Mac Mini server (from FreeBSD 8) but the
Mac Mini server comes preinstalled with MySQL.. I'm tempted to just install PostgreSQL server on it
and have two database systems used (since MySQL is used for other services).. I've got a bunch
of existing Glorp code that I'd like to make use of with some tweaks and in terms of locking and
whatnot I suspect I may be better off using Postgres -- besides the fact that I'd also need to setup
a new Store repository.. Any suggestions on whether I should try to get Glorp/Store working with
a fresh MySQL install or just move my existing stuff over from Postgres on the old server?
If I do move from the old server to the new, is there anything I should be looking out for in order
to ensure a smooth transition? Thanks!
