I actually like that symbols are equal to Strings. I use that a lot  
everywhere. Why change it?

I think this was a Seaside request in order to align on other dialects.
In VW, for example, they are not equal.

There are many practical benefits of having Symbols to be a subclass of  
String and hence has the same method for comparison.
I think first, we should discuss deeply, what is the benefits/drawbacks of  
one or another models and only then start discussing technical issues.
Apart from arguments that we're not compatible with other smalltalk  
dialects, i'd like to hear others as well.
