this link be added as the first link in the "About" section? (Maybe
renamed Introduction rather than have the rather recursive "About -
about"!)

??? What about the slogan "The framework for developing sophisticated web
applications in Smalltalk"? Since it's so heavily weighted in the website's
randomizer, it's likely the first thing visitors will see...

Hi Richard,

        the problem is that the prhase is a definition, not a slogan. To
illustrate my point imagine the guys of scriptaculous deciding their slogan
will be "The JavaScript Framework for dynamic visual effects and user
interface elements built on Prototype" instead of "it's about user
interface, baby!"

        A slogan has a very accurate mission to archieve: it defines but
informally, mostly emotionally. Formalism is a consequence (that we wish to
happen) of acceptance of that informal approach suggested by the slogan.

        We have a plenty load of formal support to give but the informal one
is giving us some work now :P

I feel it's tempting. I was thinking on those options too. But, witouth
rationalizing, what do you think people will feel with a prhase like this?
They will feel attracted? Their curiosity will be waked up? Or they will
feel like scared little birds? I ask this because I think lot of people will
*think* they are not prepared for *enlightening*. If that is the case (most
people feeling like that) we should search for something that wake up
curiosity but at the same time don't produce this "scaring little birds
effect". Our quest is refining !

I can't talk for others but I imagine that at some point it will be
necessary it's only that I don't see this as the number 1 priority today.
