Ick. Me too. That is not the kind of help that any of us needs, nor is it
the kind of publicity that I personally would care to be associated with.
If someone would like to do somthing to attract new people to the commumity,
then please make an effort to commmunicate the importance, past and future,
of women in this commumity.
If I look at the people who were most influential in getting me involved
in Squeak and Smalltalk, many of them were women (Deb Lewis, Carron Odokara,
Adele Goldberg). Surely we do not need to do anything more to discourage the
active participation of creative and innovative women in our community. Let's
please try to do better.
