Hi Ralph,

I don't know if the touch screen works. I remember that there are guys
working on it but not sure about the progress.
pharo mailing list is in copy. Someone could answer you.

Best regards,
Jannik

Hi jannik

Yes it works. Look at the thales videos
Now it is available for Pharo50.
Now we need people to have a look and let us know.

The SDL2TUIOTouchExample seems to need an improvement in the
event handling for window closing. It crashes the image.

Re: touch screens

kilon.alios
out of coincidence I was looking into workaround for making pharo work on my android tablet and google nexus phone. I found splashtop app that allow me to remotely control my imac and make it appear as if I run Pharo from android.

http://www.splashtop.com/

Splashtop works with all OS, and is free to use for private usage. I even tried opening video on my imac and streamed with little lag to my android devices even though my connection is very slow (100kbs/s) , so I highly recommend to anyone who want to work with pharo on its mobile / portable device of choice. The disadvantage is that you will need a desktop/laptop running for this to work, but then who does not own these days.

To try it yourself, with a pretty new Pharo5+vm,
load OSWindow-SDL2-Canvases and OSWindow-TUIO from
Pharo/OSWindow, and add 5 pngs next to the image:
pharo5.png, photo1.png, photo2.png, photo3.png, photo4.png
Then run SDL2TUIOTouchExample class>>example

On a device that supports multi-touch gestures.
