Re: when was pharo announced to the world?

Hi Mayuresh,

You mean like a birthday ? Good idea !

I'll leave it to Stéphane or Marcus to propose a date, Wikipedia says Pharo 1.0 was released on April 15th. But Pharo was of course already active for quite some time before that.

we started sometime in 2008. I know that discussions started very early
(Jan, Feb?), e.g to find a name.

But it was announced later… I guess I would need to dig in the old mails
to find the exact date.
