Refreshing a View Composer part

Dan Antion
Is there an easy way to refresh a view created in the VC?  I have a
composite view, that includes a few other parts.  I'm trying to get the
changes made in the sub parts to be reflected in the composite.

Thanks
Dan

Yes - rebuild it using reference views ;)   Ok, not quite the answer you
wanted.  Unfortunately, I fear it might be correct.  With that said, you
might be able to copy/paste the new composite.

Another option is to grab my D5 goodies and look at the Wizardry package.
Its VC IDE extension includes a way to mutate view resource into a reference
view, which might be just what you need.  Except for one thing: IIRC, it is
partially broken on D5.  My suggestion is to make a backup and give it a
shot.  If you shake out any bugs, then we'll have a better tool and your
problem will be solved too.

There are also some goodies that generate views from code and vice versa.  I
doubt those would help you though.

Have a good one,

Bill
