Roassal tests make moose6.1 build crashing

Blondeau Vincent

Hi,

The last changes on Roassal2 seems to make the actual job stopping in the middle of the tests: https://ci.inria.fr/moose/job/roassal2/.

And make the moose6.1 failing too…

Can someone fix this problem?

Else, I’ll skip the Roassal tests to make the job green again (and integrate the latest changes).

Thanks in advance !

Cheers,

Vincent

Re: Roassal tests make moose6.1 build crashing

Pavel Krivanek-3
These crashes are directly related to the Athens/GrafPort issue (https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/19820/Epicea-GrafPort-error-when-open-browser).

For now we can avoid the crash by disabling of RTCacheTest>>#testBasic. I wanted to do it but I do not have write permissions to the Roassal repository.

Simply comment the source code of it.
It is FFI callbacks random issue, not directly related to the test itself that only use Athens indirectly.

Or put “self fail.” at the beginning, this way you will remember that the test has to be corrected.

I am a bit lost related to this issue. Besides this test, will this issue have impact when working with Roassal at all?

Re: Roassal tests make moose6.1 build crashing

Pavel Krivanek-3
Hard to say but I guess so but it should be rare and probably only soon after the image startup. The VM crash itself is not caused by this issue, it only rises standard error exception. The VM crashes during Fuel serialization of the stack (it probably contains some strange FFI handles etc.)

Yes. I often get a red morph when using Roassal, rooting in the grafport thingy.
