Running for the board

Torsten Bergmann
Hi Chris,

I could not agree more! There were lots of discussions or posts like [1] -
but it is like it is. To me Pharo is a big win for Squeak!

Pharo attracts new people and removes the burden from Squeak to
be more business oriented.

Squeak can continue to be an experimentation and multimedia
platform and find new ways in computing.

Let separate one from the other but work as close as possible
and share thoughts and code.

You have my vote!

Bye
T.

Agree.

Pharo is nearly "a must" to people, as me, that develop commercial applications (mostly web)
and need stability and predictability .

Cheers.
Germán.

Torsten, thanks so much for your support.  May I ask one favor?
Please, let's let this destructive article die.  We've all seen it and
hurled our lunch already.  Frankly, I think it is unbecoming of Cincom
for letting their name appear continue to appear on this..

We all have our opinions, and with religion, politics, or software it
can be especially tempting to engage in this sort of "I'm better than
you" discourse.  But Smalltalkers who have been here a while and care
about "what others think", and remember our history, know can't afford
to be beating on each other.  The only good that can come from
continuing to post links to that, is that it serves as a reminder of
the _ultimate_ example of what not to do.

Ok, I need to work on code now, not commentary..  We all do.

Thanks,
  Chris
