Saving Printer Output

Stew MacLean

Currently I print directly to the printer (Windows XP), but would like the option to “print” to a file. Ie save the printed output so that I can send it to a machine that has a working printer (they’re the bain of computing!).

I’ve explored the requesting printer dialog, and tried print preview, but there doesn’t seem to be any options there.

Any pointers appreciated,

Cheers,

Stewart

Or we use pdfFactory -- not free but cheap -- you can configure it to
dump to a know location
without prompting the user, then you can pick up the file in VW later if
you like (beware the PDF conversion
runs in the background so you have to watch the file until its date/time
stops changing).
