Searchlight broken in vw7.7.1?

Hi,
After loading the Searchlight parcel in vw7.7.1, I click the launcher
Browse menu->Searchlight selection, get the Search the image dialog, try to
enter something in the search field and get a Message not understood:
#anyfocusKeypressEvent: exception.

I've tried a few things including reloading from store repository, but no
luck so far.  Any ideas?  BTW, I usually use Nabble to search the forum
archives but it seems to be broken or down.  Is there another way to search
the forum archives?
