Smalltalk UK meeting on Friday 20th October.

Bryce Kampjes
We're organising another Smalltalk event in London, this one is after
work. Starting at 5:30pm with a presentation of Restore by John
Aspinal.

Details here:

RSPV required with a company name as it's being hosted in corporate
offices.

hi,

"...as it's being hosted in corporate offices"

so why does that mean that we have to supply a company name?

Are you saying that the hosting company wants to know who employs us?
Does the hosting company have a financial/commercial interest in this?

why are we required to donate more than our enthusiasm for smalltalk?

The hosting company has no financial/commercial interest in the
information. It's just to put on the list to give to security to let
people into the building.

We're using their rooms, so we're just fitting in with their
normal rules. They were not crafted with us in mind.
