My article at TechBeacon, How learning Smalltalk can make you a better developer, has already become the third most popular (most viewed) article at the website. And its first week of publication isn't over yet!
-- Apparently, this has become something of a "hot" topic. If you look at the Live Listener Count for my article, it's the highest of all the articles listed. Currently, it stands around 50, but it started the week at around 120! All the other articles on the list have a Live Listener Count of less than 25. In other words, I think interest in Smalltalk is particularly strong (if somewhat latent). We just need to keep hammering the message home. Oh, it's yours? I saw mentions on twitter, but did not click as I
already knew it does (taking Smalltalk course in uni was the single biggest leap in learning what OOP actually is about). It's now the Most Popular article at TechBeacon!!! Finally, Smalltalk (and Amber) is getting some real attention.
-- On Sunday, HN asked me to repost my article because they felt that it was a shame my article wasn't getting the attention it deserved. After I reposted it, readership went through the roof. The article appeared on the front page of HN! HN's comments section is fairly lively. Get involved! At TechBeacon, the Live Listener Count is used to gauge reader interest. After my repost, the Live Listener Count skyrocketed to over 340. That's more than 10X higher than the Count for any other TechBeacon article! Now that I've substantially raised Smalltalk's profile at the present moment, it behooves all Smalltalkers to take advantage of this and run with it. My Smalltalk Renaissance campaign last year was a failure because I couldn't get enough traction. Well, now we have traction!!! On Monday, 25 July 2016 08:27:04 UTC-4, Herby wrote: Oh, it's yours?
