Thank you for sharing, Joe.
This is interesting indeed. To use it as a hardware Amber server? <citation> Tessel is an internet-connected microcontroller programmable in JavaScript that enables developers to extend the reach of the web to physical things. Since Tessel is compatible with Node.js and leverages the Node Package Manager, adding additional capabilities is as easy as plugging in a Tessel module and npm installing its firmware. Tessel's hardware designs are open source hardware (CC BY-SA). Its firmware and compiler will be open source software (MIT licensed) upon release. </citation> I wonder how this differs from RaspberryPi with Debian and nodejs installed..... What is surely useful is WiFi out of the box. --Hannes On 3/22/14, Sebastian Sastre <[hidden email]> wrote: > very cool stuff > > > > On Saturday, March 22, 2014 8:17:01 AM UTC-3, Joe Shirk wrote: >> >> some folks will find this interesting: https://tessel.io/ >> > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "amber-lang" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [hidden email]. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "amber-lang" group. I think that the difference may be that the Pi is a JS on top of a tiny linux, whereas the tessel, based on the way they phrased it, may be a VM on bare metal (no OS).

I don’t know what you need in order to use an accelerometer from a raspberrypi but in this one sounds pretty straight forward You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "amber-lang" group.
