The Heretic Web Framework

My little essay "The Heretic Web Framework" has been favourited and retweeted several times!

Again, if there's anything I can do to improve the essay, please let me know.

Hello Richard,

If I were a Ruby or Python coder, I would like to see some code snippets compared.
Cheers,

Hernán

I thought you might mention something about continuations.  I thought that was one of the key benefits of seaside that made it able to be programmed like a desktop app (not that I've used it yet.)

It's hard to convey the sense of Seaside power with a couple of code snippets. But if you'd like to provide examples, I'll try to work them in. Frankly, I've been out of touch with Seaside for over 8 years! (That's why I was asking for essay contributions.)

In general, the articles I write for SRP are of a high-level nature, an overview approach along the lines of PR and marketing. It's not the place to inject really technical material. That's what the Resources page is for.

You may find some interesting snippets I have here: http://www.slideshare.net/MarianoMartinezPeck/web-development-with-smalltalk
That presentation includes some slides I borrowed from Lucas and Esteban.

I've done exactly just that. Updated the article with a paragraph on continuations.

Thanks.

Well I made http://airflowing.com with it and I remember being all excited about seaside continuations.

In my experience, in the long run the value of continuations is largely overestimated.

They even complicate simple things if you are not careful.
