Threshold mechanism in Moose

abergel
Hi!

Just to let you know I am working on a mechanism in Moose that identify that are the “ideal” threshold for a set of Moose models.
Interesting (but very academic) piece of work.

Cheers,
Alexandre

Re: Threshold mechanism in Moose

Hi Alex

What's the idea behind it? How do you decide on where to draw the line between "good" and "bad" values?

I guess you are aware the work of Radu Marinescu on this topic. You could build on that or take a different approach.

Cheers
Ricky

Re: Threshold mechanism in Moose

Hi!

I have implemented the model given in:

Paloma Oliveira, Marco Tulio Valente, and Fernando Lima. Extracting Relative Thresholds for Source Code Metrics. In IEEE Conference on Software Maintenance, Reengineering and Reverse Engineering (CSMR-WCRE), pages 254-263, 2014.

http://www.dcc.ufmg.br/~mtov/pub/2014_csmrwcre_thresholds.pdf

For now, I cannot say whether this model is more efficient or not than the one of Radu’s.

Cheers,
Alexandre
