Trying Tide

sebastianconcept
Hi there,

I want to take a look at Tide:
https://github.com/tide-framework/tide

potentially for making an Amber demo in a workshop.

I'm setting up a how-to on a real-time app here:
https://github.com/sebastianconcept/TidalChat

I'm stuck in making it work.

I'm serving amber on port 3000 and on the Pharo image I don't know in which port should TDServer start on (the default doesn't work, all tests fail).

help?

Hi Sebastian,

I'm fixing it right now, I'll get back to you when I'll have the
configuration working!

Cheers,

Re: Trying Tide

Nicolas Petton
Hi again, I updated the readme with some more info about
installing. Note that Tide is still rough and young, so expect issues :)

If you still have issues after following the readme, please tell me!

Cheers,
Nico

Re: Trying Tide

In reply to this post by Nicolas Petton

Some issue with the latest bower (EPERM error).

Use 1.2.6 as explained here:

npm uninstall -g bower
npm install -g bower@1.2.6

Now, at the step "Open the Pharo image, then evaluate:

BaselineOfTide load.
TDServer startOn: 7777."
"

I think we miss the part where we load the package into the image through some kind of gitfiletree...

Help?

Phil

Are we using a 3.0 or a 2.0?

The README fetches a 3.0.

Indeed, it misses the filetree part. I'll fix that!
