UI gripes planning

Gary Chambers-4
I think we could do with a more structured way of describing UI suggestions/wants.
Maybe on the issues tracker or a wiki or something else.

Thoughts  invited.

Regards, Gary

Re: UI gripes planning

Hi Gary,

I have a little knowledge in UI. However, I am willing to spend a
couple of hours to help you. The great work you did warmly deserve it.
How can I help?

Cheers,
Alexandre

Given that your mail to the list has arrived... I seem to be having problems
with email, specifically my responses not getting though to me (although,
looking at Nabble, that's not all). What a pain. Checked the spam folder
online and not there either.

Was just wondering how to collate any UI issues that arise rather than any
immediate help.

Regards, Gary

The main problem I see is the time to grab a window. The focus is not
preserved, meaning that I need to hold the moose button without moving
for a little while before being able to drag it.
But I guess everybody is aware of that.

Alexandre

Re: UI gripes planning

Schwab,Wilhelm K
Oddly, I spent some time this AM marveling at how responsive the whole thing has become with the world redraw (or whatever it was) fix.  I have the recent dev image with ecompletion and column auto focus off and fast draw enabled, and it's pretty quick "even" with the Vistary theme.

That's on a machine that _should_ be quick, but with XP and loads of anti-malware, it drags a bit.
