Yes, it's an issue with setting ioctl on pipes when in 64-bit mode, and it is fixed in the latest vw-dev version.

Hello folks,

I'm running 7.7.1 of July 26, 2010 (the last CD release), and can't get UnixProcess to run; I get "inappropriate ioctl for device" exceptions.

I'm running on a 64-bit Intel-based Mac with Lion OS. 

I saw some traffic about this being a 64-bit issue. Has this been fixed in the current test version?

This is fixed in the current 7.9 builds.

Contact support if you're interested in a backport of the VM fix for this.
