VC breaks after repeated copying and pasting of buttons

Shaping-3
The VC breaks after a while of copying and pasting buttons, which always end
up in the upper left corner.  After you do this a few times, the buttons no
longer appear, and you have to cycle VC in order to fix the problem.

Can you be more specific?  I paste things quite often, and aside from
some minor z-order annoyances (group boxes are common offenders), there
are no problems.  As a test, I created a button in a new shell and
pasted ten or so copies of it; no troubles.

Over time, there have been some focus (or default button or something??)
related problems that OA has fixed - IIRC they were Windows bugs and OA
hacked around them.  You might have run into a variant of one of them.

You asked about layout managers.  Have you perhaps ended up with the
buttons clipped by their parent presenter?  Also note that if you set an
incorrect arrangement type, you might have hobbled either the layout
manager operation or prevented pasting of the button (though in either
case I would expect walkbacks vs. silent failure).

Have a good one,

Bill
