[VW 7.5] [Mac OS X] Changing the host menu bar

Having experimented with this and reading from …\bin\macx\readme.txt

am I correct in concluding that I can’t change the names of menus and menu items on the host menu bar?

So far I’ve been able to disable them, but nothing else.

If this is the case, then this is very problematic for deployment...
