Web serices publish-subscribe implementation for WV

Andres Fortier
Hi list.

We are currently trying to integrate our system (VW 7.3) with a system
developed in java. In order to do this we decided to go in the Web
Serices direction, wich so far seems to fit ok. Now, one of the keys for
the integration is to have a publish-subscribe mechanism that allows
both system to know about changes in the other. As far as I´ve seen,
there are a couple of specifications to tackle this issue (WS-Events,
WS-Eventing and WS-Notification), so I was wondering if there are any
implementation available (for any specification) for VW.

Also, any advice from related developments in this topic would be really
aprecciated.

Thanks in advance,
                  Andres

There is no support for these spec's in VW. All of them as far as I see are still drafts but it should be not difficult to add the implementation for the notification services. Create a service class with some notification methods, describe the methods parameters and create server/client classes.

Tamara,
thanks for the response, but I don´t seem to be able to find the
package "Web Services Base Notification 1.3". Is it in the public
repository?

Thanks again,
