No, it is not discontinued. Skinny was a prototype of a number of
things at the same time. We're currently in the process of trying to
fold it in part, into the product. Our first set of changes, which I
hope to have in a build real soon now, will include the first basic
shot at having Skins present in the image. And a flag at the builder
level, which informs the builder to emit skinned, rather than classic
widgets.
I could go on for a while, about the various nuances one has to try
and emulate when replacing a single widget dependent on having a
WidgetStateWrapper and other Wrappers. Imagine if your C program had
as a dependency the C Compiler, and frequently your app, reached into
intermediate compile structures to introspect about itself...
Anyway, the first set will just do PushButtons. Which may seem small,
and inconsequential, but we have to start somewhere. Doing the widget
themselves is not the hard part, it's getting the Skin infrastructure
in place that is more involved. Once we've done the first widget, I
hope successive widgets will come quicker.

My Other Machine runs OSX. But then... so does this one.
